Built Nigeria-first, ledger-first.
PrimeEx exists to make holding, sending, and converting money feel clear and predictable, starting with getting the foundation right, before anything customer-facing.
PrimeEx is a Nigeria-first platform for holding, sending, and converting money. Personal, Payments, Cards, Crypto, and FX all run against the same real ledger today, tested end-to-end in a sandbox environment, not just designed on paper. Business accounts are next, not yet built. The team's approach throughout has been to build the financial core, a double-entry ledger, identity verification, and a provider-agnostic architecture, first, and to test it adversarially before building the interfaces people actually use.
How we're building it
01
The ledger comes first
Every balance is a ledger entry, never a directly-edited number, decided and built before a single customer-facing screen.
02
Never fake a result
A screen that can’t call something real is labeled as a sandbox action, not dressed up as a finished feature.
03
Prove it, don’t assume it
Correctness claims are tested adversarially, concurrent requests, duplicate submissions, real expiry, not just reviewed by reading the code.
How it came together
The ledger, first
A real double-entry ledger and identity verification, built and adversarially tested before a single customer-facing screen existed.
The mobile app
The first real interface, accounts, wallets, transfers, built against the ledger that already existed, not the other way around.
The web app
A parallel experience on the same real backend, not a second system that could quietly drift from the mobile one.
This marketing site
Built once there was something real to show, every claim on it checked against the actual, tested backend behavior.
Admin & controls
The tools a real operating team needs, approvals, KYC review, audit trails, once the customer-facing side was solid.
About PrimeEx
- PrimeEx is being built Nigeria-first. Support for other countries isn’t established yet.
- PrimeEx verifies identity using your BVN, a government-issued document, and a liveness (selfie) check. Verification is required before you can send or receive money.
- Not yet. PrimeEx is currently in active development. The core product, accounts, wallets, transfers, identity verification, is built and tested end-to-end in a sandbox environment, but it hasn't been launched publicly and isn't handling real customer funds yet.
See the foundation for yourself.
The ledger, the identity checks, the adversarial testing, it's not a pitch, it's what actually runs when you create an account.
